Financial Counseling Classes
CCHH hopes to offer a financial counseling course starting early in 2008. The course is Dave Ramsey's "Financial Peace University", and will be led by FPU graduate and counselor, Keith Long. The cost for the class is $100 per "seat", which allows and individual, couple, or entire family to attend for the same price.
Many of you are familiar with Dave Ramsey through his radio show, which airs nationwide and is broadcast from WTN in Nashville. His Financial Peace University has helped thousands of people change their lives with better money management. You can read more about the Financial Peace program at Dave Ramseys Website.
Clay County Helping Hands Launches!
Celina, TN - October 15, 2007 - A new organization to provide help to Clay County residents is now operational and will soon be opening a retail location in Celina. Clay County Helping Hands is an organization made up of dedicated volunteers who have a strong desire to make an impact in our local community, and is funded by gifts and donations from private individuals, churches, groups, and other non-governmental organizations.
CCHH Secretary Kristen Watson states that, "Our vision is clear; to be able to help feed and clothe those in need. We would like to be able to help with medical needs, utility bills, rent payment and other necessities that may be the difference between children having warm beds and food in their stomachs. We would hope that this help will also reach our senior citizens who struggle so often with a fixed income in a world economy that makes it difficult to have even a meager existence. Our mission is to improve individual lives, as well as the neighborhoods and communities in Clay County.
If you would like to become involved, either with donations or volunteer efforts, please contact us by email or phone.
